Our version of this Leather Gun Belt is 2 1/4 inches wide which tapers to 1 1/2 inches wide at the billet or strap end of the Gun Belt and is secured with a 1 1/2 inch nickel buckle. The Gun Belt was originally designed as a Black Powder Gun Belt in which bullets or balls were carried in a pouch which hung from the Gun Belt and no ammunition loops would have been on the belt. We offer you a choice of No Loops as a Black Powder Set or you can have your choice of 24 ammunition loops in the Caliber of your choice at the center back of the Tapered Prairie Gun Belt.

The Leather Slim Jim Holster was a standard holster design which was the predominant holster design used throughout the Black Powder Pistol era and was made by local Saddleries or Saddle Makers from the east coast to the west coast. Our Slim Jim holsters are available for any Revolver you chose to have one made for and in any Barrel Length you may need. We also offer our Sherman Loomis Design Slim Jim Holsters with a open toe and in either a Cross Draw version or a Side Draw version for Left or Right Hand Shooters. These holster(s) are smooth leather lined. The Sherman Loomis Design Tapered Prairie Gun Belt with Slim Jim Holster was an early Western Black Powder Gun Belt and Slim Jim Holster Design from around the time between the discovery of Gold at Sutters Mill in California in 1849 and the Civil War which started in 1861. These Gun Belts are smooth leather lined.
