Our version of the Original Jesse James Cartridge Gun Belt and Hand Carved Single Slim Jim Side Holster that he carried at the time of his death on April 3, 1882 in St. Joseph, Missouri . It was in 1882 at Jesse James home that Jesse James original belt and holster with his famous Smith & Wesson #3 Schofield Revolver in the holster that he laid on the table and was then shot in the back of the head by Bob Ford while adjusting a picture over the fireplace.
As for recognition this Old West Gun Belt and Slim Jim Holster set are probably the most recognized set from the Old West, bearing the Hand Carved Original Leaf Artwork often referred to as tear away style carving is on the Slim Jim Holster Sheath Face. We have posted a picture of the Original Jesse James Slim Jim Holster which is presumed to have been Hand Carved by Jesse James himself while hiding out in Missouri after one of the famous James / Younger Gang or James Gang robberies of the early to mid 1870s. This type of Gun Leather personalizing was not uncommon for Cowboys of the Old West and was done with whatever crude material was available to do the carving things like horse shoeing nails (which Cowboys often carried), knives and there are documented occasions of certain types of rocks used for carving leather.

Our version of the Jesse James 3-inch wide Fold Over Leather Money / Cartridge Gun Belt has Ammunition Loops that cover the entire cartridge in order to protect the fragile ammunition of the time and your choices for loops can be added to the Gun Belt.
