It was around the 1890s that we started seeing a major change in holster design as the Revolver itself was evolving from a Tool of Survival into an accessory worn by most men and some women from all walks of life. The changes in holster designs were very noticeable especially in catalogs distributed by the Old School Saddle Makers like Main & Winchester, F. A. Meanea, H. H. Heiser, S. C. Gallup, R. T. Frazier, Al Furstnow and many more.

C. Gallup Saddlery Company Holster to accommodate most Single or Double Action Revolvers of both Old West & Modern Manufacture with a 3 1/2" Barrel Length or Longer.

The holster Pictured is Black Color Heavyweight Saddle Skirting Leather with a Fully Hand Carved Floral Design Sheath Front and a inner sheath soft leather lining. The Welt on the holster Pictured is Hand Wrapped Rawhide which not only adds a decorative touch to the holster which will patina with time, it also reinforces the welt to strengthen the welt.

This fabulous Model #2 S. C. Gallup Double Loop Belt Holster can be ordered in many variations of Leather Textures including Hand Carved Floral, Basketweave, Fishscale, etc. , Colors Black, Brown or Russet with or without Rawhide Welt Wrap which is available in varied colors as well the welt can simply be sewn.
